Modifications Using PCB's

In some circumstances it can be cost effective to mount an engineering change on a small additional PCB. This is driven largely by the complexity of the modification or the requirement to re-map a PCB footprint due to a device change. This technique can be particularly valuable where a key component has become obsolete.
