Assistant Buyer
Norcott EMS is a leading provider of electronic
assembly services. We work with our customers at the leading

As an Assistant Buyer you will largely work
under the supervision of our Senior Buyer, striving to ensure
that all materials are purchased in a cost effective and timely
manner to ensure the smooth running of our Production facility.
This role would suit somebody who
has previously worked in a purchasing or sales role in either
an electronics or component distributor company.
Specific Duties
- Obtaining detailed quotations for electronic components
and evaluating competing bids based on pricing and timescale.
- Managing spreadsheets of component requirements for products.
- Entering details on our in-house databases.
- Placing and progressing of Purchase Orders.
- Updating product costing models.
- Ensuring Supplier database is kept up to date.
Essential Experience, Capabilities &
Qualifications
5 GCSE's or equivalent including
English and Mathematics.
Clear, efficient and friendly telephone manner.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A keen eye for detail and quality of company presentation.
Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet tight
time-scales.
Competent with all Office applications including spreadsheets
and email.
Desirable Experience
Previous electronic component purchasing
or internal sales role for a component distributor.
